Corrosion Resistant Alloys, LLC (CRA) is a Just-In-Time (JIT) mill providing high-quality corrosion-resistant alloy tubulars to fulfill customer needs that are currently unmet by standard supply chain models. CRA’s tubular products include oil country tubular goods (OCTG), mechanical tube for downhole equipment, and schedule pipe and tube. It is not CRA’s intent to compete with standard mills, but to fill the gap when projects are met with the unexpected. Our specialty is non-standard situations such as expedited delivery times, custom sizes, specifications, lengths, and small production runs where customization, flexibility, and innovation provide additional value to customers.
Founded in 2002, CRA’s global headquarters are strategically located in Houston, Texas, enabling quick material provision to locations across the globe. Initially operating as a distributor and stockist, since 2008, CRA has acquired two of the world’s largest cold finishing mills, a third smaller mill, and numerous additional pieces of manufacturing equipment while transitioning to a JIT mill manufacturing model. In 2021, CRA purchased property in Brenham, TX (just outside of Houston) with plans to build a facility that will significantly enhance manufacturing capacity and capabilities, and increase speed by consolidating many processes under one roof. Corrosion Resistant Alloys offers a diversification of services through CRA-affiliated companies and partnerships: CRA Finished Tubes, LLC, K&B/CRA, and PipeSearch, Inc. Each of these entities plays a unique and critical role in better serving our customers and achieving our vision of being the fastest, most reliable, quality provider of corrosion-resistant alloy tubulars in the world.
The value proposition of our JIT Mill is simple: assist customers in securing specialized, custom specification pipe and mechanical tubing within the time frame required. Our model provides customers quick turnaround when they need it most. CRA Finished Tubes’ size capabilities range from 2-1/16” outside diameter (OD) to 10-3/4”OD (expanding to 13-3/8” soon). We are capable of lengths up to 70’ as availability allows.
K&B/CRA is a full-service manufacturer and material provider of cra products with an emphasis on nickel based alloys. K&B and CRA have combined their expertise in K&B/CRA to provide a unique solution for duplex and nickel build-to-print equipment and accessories in a manner that has not been done previously.
Each partner company, while remaining separate entities and operating core businesses, brings unique value and focus to K&B/CRA. K&B is a provider of high quality precision and long length intricate machining services with a variety of premium thread licenses and other services. CRA is a just in time mill providing high quality cra tubulars. K&B/CRA is a combination of the two entities offering a fast solution by maintaining cra inventory to manufacture your build-to-print requirements, quick-turn equipment, and oil and gas products such as accessories, flow couplings, and couplings.
